A section devoted to Conference Proceedings is also making a
fust appearance. At last November's conference at Hamamatsu
a call for publishable versions of presentations was
directed to all presenters. The response was gratifying, and
the editors have tried to select contributions so that the
diversity of subject area and style of presentation are reflected.
We would like to thank all those presenters who did submit
their work; this was much appreciated. A similar call for
conference-related material will be circulated at thiS''November's
conference in Tokyo.
